Kitsap County is experiencing poor air quality conditions due to wildfires throughout the region.

9/7/17: update from the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and local health departments.

For the status of current air quality conditions, please check the following websites:

Air quality conditions vary by location across the county, which may not be represented by our one Kitsap air monitoring station (which is located in Bremerton). It is important that everyone pay attention to local conditions based on visual and other sensory cues when making decisions about outdoor activities. Anyone experiencing discomfort or symptoms should stay indoors or leave the area, and call their physician if their symptoms persist or worsen.

If you have questions or concerns about your child participating in outdoor sports or activities, please contact your child's physician.

Kitsap Public Health will continue to monitor the air quality reports and if air quality worsens, we will provide information on this page, and through our Facebook page.
