marinA sewage

The goal of the Marina Sewage Program is protect human health and the environment by ensuring that marina's and boaters comply with the Health District’s Marina Sewage Regulations.

The Marina Sewage regulations require that:

  • Marinas provide boat sewage control facilities and services;
  • Boaters comply with existing federal marine sanitation device regulations.

To accomplish this goal, the Water Quality Program inspects marinas to determine compliance status, notifies marinas of their compliance status, and provides technical assistance to help marinas come into compliance.

For more information on this program, please email Shawn Ultican, Environmental Health Specialist, or contact Shawn at (360) 337-5622.
