On-site sewage PROGRAM GOALS

The goal of the On-Site Sewage Program is to protect public health from the adverse affects of failing on-site sewage systems by ensuring the proper design, installation, and maintenance of on-site sewage systems.

New Local Onsite Sewage System Regulations

The Kitsap County Board of Health adopted Ordinance 2008-01, Onsite Sewage System and General Sewage Sanitation Regulations, during a public hearing at its regular March meeting. The adopted regulations are contained via the following link:

Notice: The Designer Verification and Concurrence Requirements for Installations contained in Section 12.C. have been suspended until July 1, 2008.
