Home Based Services:
The Parent Child Health Program provides in-home services with a
holistic focus.

staff includes Public Health Nurses, Social Workers. |

Advanced Training:
All Parent Child Health field staff complete an intensive training
program developed by the University of Washington School of Nursing
called NCAST (Nursing Child Assessment Satellite Training). The
NCAST training provides the staff with highly specialized observational
and teaching skills that are particularly beneficial in the home
setting where staff and families come together.
Pregnancy Services - First Steps for Pregnant
Women and Their Babies:
Income eligible individuals who are pregnant or have infants may
self-refer or referrals may come from hospitals, doctors, family
members, Health District clinical services, CPS, DSHS or others.
Public Health Nurses:
Families with children and individuals who are pregnant or have
infants may self-refer or referrals may come from hospitals, doctors,
family members, Health District clinical services, CPS, DSHS or
others.

Nurse
Consultant for Child Care Providers:
Home child care providers with children ages birth to three
may request home visits or child care centers may contract
for services. |
Children with Special Health Care Needs:
Families with children who have special health or developmental
needs may self-refer or referrals may come from health or social
service providers.
Welcome Home Baby
Welcome Home Baby program provides newborn home visits
for families living in Kitsap County. A public health nurse who
has expertise in the field of maternal and newborn health provides
the visits.
