Program GoaL:

The Kitsap County Health District contracts to provide non-emergent and preventive health care for detainees at the Juvenile Detention Facility.

Health care staff provide the following services at the kitsap county juvenile dentention facility:

• Provide sick-call clinics for juvenile detainees.
• Manage chronic health problems for juvenile detainees.
• Screen for and treat communicable diseases.
• Coordinate health care with the juvenile’s personal
  medical provider and parents/guardians.
• Provide health education and guidance.
• Prescribe and administer needed medications.
• Provide Bloodborne Pathogen Training to Detention staff.
