what is hiv?
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is the virus that causes AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).

how can you get hiv?
You can get infected with HIV:

  • If you have sex with a person who is infected,
  • If you share needles with someone who is infected.
  • Pregnant women who are infected can pass the virus to their babies at the time of birth or through breastfeeding.

who should be tested for hiv?
You should be tested for HIV if you have had sex with an
HIV-positive partner, share needles, or are unsure if your partner/past partners have had a recent negative HIV test.

Anonymous or confidential testing is available without an appointment at all our clinics. We are IDU friendly and gay-friendly clinic. Gay & lesbian counselors available by appointment. Call (360) 337-5235 and ask to speak with Mark.

Hiv testing can be done three ways:

  1. OraQuick© Rapid Test - results in 30 minutes.

  3. Venipuncture Blood Test - results in two weeks.

costs:
Fees slide according to family size & income (exception for court-ordered tests.)
