Kitsap County Health District’s (KCHD) Tobacco
Prevention Program primary goals are to:
- Prevent youth from beginning tobacco use
- Help youth and adults quit
- Reduce exposure to second hand smoke
- Eliminate the disproportionate health impact
on
specific populations resulting from high tobacco use.
The program takes a comprehensive approach to
tobacco control, which includes collaboration through community
partnerships and local efforts. KCHD also provides staff support
and technical assistance to the Kitsap Tobacco Alcohol and Other
Substances Coalition (K-TASC).
