Have You Had Unprotected Sex?

  • Did the condom break?
  • Did you miss two or more pills in your pill pack?

If you did and you don’t want to become pregnant, you may need emergency contraception.

What Is Emergency contraception (ECP)?
Emergency contraceptive pills help protect against pregnancy if used within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected intercourse.

How Effective Is ECP?
ECP is 80% effective in preventing an unplanned pregnancy. It is more effective if taken closer to the time of unprotected sex.
