To report dead birds or talk to a staff person, please call
    (360) 337-5235 during normal business hours,
Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, or call our public health
hotline number at 1-800-2BE-WELL to leave a message
    24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

After you have reported the dead bird sighting, please
discard the dead bird by burying it or placing it in the
garbage. Handle the dead bird by using gloves, a shovel,
or plastic grocery bags, and wash your hands immediately
afterwards. There is no risk of contracting WNV by touching
the bird with bare hands, but it is not sanitary to do so as
other bacteria or viruses may be present.

Thank you for your cooperation.
